1. Services Overview

North Shore College Consulting (“Company,” “we,” “our”) provides independent educational consulting services, including but not limited to college admissions advising, application strategy, essay guidance, and related support services.

Services are advisory in nature only.

No Guarantee of Admission
North Shore College Consulting does not guarantee admission to any college, university, or program. Outcomes depend on numerous external factors beyond our control.

2. Eligibility

Services are intended for:

• Parents/guardians of students; or
• Students under supervision of a parent or legal guardian

By using this site or engaging services, you confirm you meet these requirements.

3. Client Responsibilities

Clients agree to:

• Provide accurate and complete information
• Meet deadlines and participate actively
• Review all submitted materials

Failure to do so may impact outcomes and service effectiveness.

4. Payment & Fees

• Fees are outlined in service agreements or invoices
• Payment may be processed via third-party providers (e.g., Stripe or similar platforms)
• All payments are non-refundable unless otherwise stated in writing

5. Intellectual Property

All materials, templates, and guidance provided by the Company are:

• Proprietary
• For client use only
• Not to be redistributed or resold

6. FERPA-Aligned Educational Disclaimer

The Company operates as an independent consultant and is not an educational institution under Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act.

However, we follow FERPA-aligned principles:

• Student information is treated as confidential educational records
• Information is shared only with parent/guardian consent
• Data is used solely for advising purposes

7. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by Illinois law:

• The Company is not liable for admissions decisions
• The Company is not responsible for errors in third-party platforms (e.g., Common App, college portals)
• Total liability is limited to fees paid for services

8. Third-Party Tools

We may use platforms such as:

• CRM systems
• Scheduling tools
• Payment processors

We are not responsible for third-party system outages or data handling outside our control.

9. Termination

We reserve the right to terminate services if:

• Terms are violated
• Conduct is inappropriate or abusive
• Required cooperation is not maintained

10. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Illinois.

11. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms at any time. Continued use constitutes acceptance of updates.
